    Janalee Reano
Janalee is the third child of talented artists, Frank and Charlene Reano. She is their only child carrying on the family heritage of jewelry making. She was born on November 8, 1984. She was raised in San Felipe, her mother’s pueblo. She attended boarding school in Santa Fe and came home on weekends and in the summer. Both her brothers and sister also attended Santa Fe Indian School, and they all enjoyed their experience. There are 19 tribes that go to the school from all over the country. Janalee then went to college at a trade school in Albuquerque and received her bachelor degree in Engineering. She was offered a job, but it was on a big oil rig in the middle of the ocean. She loves San Felipe and did not want to leave home. Janalee married Jonas Valencia, also from San Felipe, and they have six children together.

In her spare time she is able to make her beautiful jewelry, after apprenticing with her mom Charlene. They are known for their colorful inlay work on shell that is traditional for San Felipe and Santo Domingo. She just loves it, and her mom says Janalee is a natural jewelry maker. Janalee also loves to drive to Albuquerque and shop!
