Ramon Tahbo Howato is a talented, up-and-coming Hopi potter born in 1978. He is the son of Dianna Tahbo and the nephew of the late Mark Tahbo, one of our personal favorite Hopi potters of all time. Ramon is a member of the Tobacco Clan in the Hopi tribe and you see the smoking pipe as his signature on his work. His great-great-grandmother was Grace Chapella (1874-1980), one of the most renowned Hopi potters of all time who lived into her 100s.
All of Ramon's pottery is hand coiled and traditionally fired outdoors. His pieces would be a great addition to any collection.
