Antique (circa 1910s) Small Sampler Pictorial Weaving of Two Navajo Women. Sampler weavings, such as this one, were sold on trains to tourists in the early 20th century. This sampler was woven on a modified loom, similar to the type used for Gallup throws. The fringe is tied off cotton warp strings.
