Haley Family

61 products

The Haleys are a multi-generational Navajo (Diné) family of silversmiths. They specialize in handmade silver beads, also known as "Navajo Pearls." Beadmaking began with Ruby Haley’s paternal side, Hastii Litsooii Lee, known as Yellowman. He was the father to Elsie Lee Becenti (Ruby’s grandmother). Together they passed silversmithing on to Ned Becenti Sr (Ruby‘s father), then later his wife, Rhoda. Ruby, her husband, Benjamin, and their children have carried on the tradition. Now Ruby and Benjamin's grandchildren are making beautiful Navajo Pearls as well - the sixth generation!
