Bennett Kagenveama

Bennett Kagenveama was born in Shungopavi, Second Mesa Arizona. His parents, Richard and Gladys Kagenveama, were very prominent artists. His mother, Gladys is considered one of the finest Hopi Coil basket weavers.

Bennett has more intricate detail in his designs than any other Hopi artist. His jewelry is all overlay and he also has the most interesting contrast in the texture of his silverwork.

He specializes in Kachina designs. Bennett is a soft spoken, humble and very kind man. He is very well thought of by his peers.
