Ryan Chee

Ryan Chee is a talented jeweler and the son of acclaimed carver, DuWayne Chee. Born in 1996, Ryan was inspired by his late grandfather, Morris Chee, who passed away in the 1980s. His grandfather left his jewelry tools behind, and Ryan was fascinated by them at a young age. His father, DuWayne and uncle Raymond Chee are both amazing sculptural carvers. Ryan would often watch them carve and was inspired by their work, but it was the art of jewelry that kept calling him. He created a unique approach to jewelry-making by first hand carving his designs into wood to make a mold and then pouring molten silver into the carving. The result is beautiful and distinct jewelry!

Ryan graduated Window Rock High School in 2015. In his spare time, he loves all music and enjoys playing the guitar. He is a wonderful young man with a bright future ahead.
