Sugilite

Sugilite was first discovered by Ken-ichi Sugi on Igawi Islet, Japan in the 1940s. Sugilite is known for its deep purple tones that look great on their own or pair perfectly with turquoise and opal. The majority of the Sugilite used by our artists comes from the Wessels Mine in Northern Cape Province, South Africa.
