Landon Secatero is a talented young Navajo silversmith. He is the son of jewelers, Randy and Sarah Secatero. Landon was born April 5, 2002 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is the last child of three sons; his older brothers, Lyle and Wylie, are also jewelers.
Landon grew up in his parents’ jewelry workshop and loved watching them. From a young age, he would help them when he could. He started making jewelry entirely on his own when he was eight years old, and he won a Youth Award at the Gallup Intertribal Ceremonies.
When schools and even roads were shut down for two years during the Covid pandemic, he decided to dive into making jewelry full time instead of going to college. Working mostly with sterling silver, Landon’s stampwork is precise and clean. With a natural talent for making beautiful jewelry, he has a very bright future ahead!
In his spare time, Landon likes to play guitar, shoot pool, and enjoy the outdoors. He is even a member of the Elks Lodge.
