Stanley Manygoats was born on September 10, 1976 in the small town of Tohatchi. He is the youngest of 6 children. His older brothers taught him the art of inlay at a young age. Stanley caught on quickly, and was hired by the wonderful Navajo artist Ray Tracy where he worked for over 10 years. Before going out on his own, he also worked for Supersmith Jewelers in Gallup, New Mexico.
Stanley is a humble man from a wonderful family. His mother wove rugs at night and worked in the day to provide a better life for her children. He so admired her and is working hard as well for his 4 children. The oldest daughter is a freshman in college studying to work for the FBI, she is the first to attend college from his family. As a man raised without electricity and only kerosene lamps for light and no indoor plumbing, he is so appreciative of all he has today and the opportunities his children have. In his spare time he enjoys fishing and playing with his children.
