Beverly Begay was born January, 1968 in Winslow, Arizona. She is the oldest of seven children from well-known artists Richard and Rita Begay. One of her siblings is Philbert Begay, who is also a great jeweler.
Beverly was so inspired by her father, and she worked alongside and collaborated with him for many years, until his passing. In her father Richard’s later years, she did most of his inlay work.
Beverly uses natural turquoise, coral and lapis in her jewelry. Her designs are beautiful.
She has three daughters who live close by in Dilcon, AZ, and she now has two grandchildren.
Beverly is a beautiful and soft-spoken woman, and she has a very bright future in jewelry-making. When she is not making jewelry, she loves to garden, hike, and sometimes jogs.
