Navajo silversmith, Wade Percy Henderson was born January 1, 2001 to Marlene Gale and Delbert Henderson. He was born near St. Michaels, Arizona and lives in the Window Rock, Arizona area. He has two older sisters. His grandmother, Florence Gale was a jeweler, and she was a big part of his life growing up.
Wade started making jewelry in 2019. He is mostly self-taught through lots of practice, inspiration from YouTube videos and tutorials, and talking to established artists, including acclaimed Navajo jeweler, Lyndon Tsosie.
All of Wade’s jewelry is hand fabricated. He likes to combine both traditional and contemporary designs into beautiful and unique works of art.
In addition to jewelry, one of his passions is farming. He belongs to the local farm co-op. He loves to grow traditional plants and practices dry farmland rain water harvesting.
Wade is a kind, thoughtful person, and we are impressed with his natural artistic ability.
