Heishi Beads and Traditional Inlay

The Santo Domingo (Kewa) Pueblo is located 25 miles southwest of Santa Fe, New Mexico and has just over 2,500 tribal members. Known best for their hand rolled heishi beads, some of the finest turquoise necklaces are made by Santo Domingo artists. Other traditional forms of Kewa jewelry include mosaic inlay designs on shells.
